Faustin Pipal has mediated over 3,300 cases since beginning his mediation practice in 1993. He is founding partner in the Chicago-based law firm of Pipal & Berg, LLP. Faustin maintains an active civil litigation practice in addition to his ADR practice. He has been litigating cases since 1980, and he draws on his experience as an accomplished trial attorney during the mediation process. His years of trying cases in Chicago and the Midwest give him a real life perspective during the mediation process that his clients appreciate.

Faustin combines the evaluative and facilitative mediation styles, and has developed a reputation for not giving up on a case until it can be settled or truly has reached impasse. In addition to mediating substantial personal injury and wrongful death cases, Faustin concentrates his mediation practice on the resolution of complex commercial, financial, employment, premises liability, trucking accidents and insurance coverage disputes. Faustin is on the FINRA roster of mediators, where he mediates securities and employment-related disputes. FINRA is a government-authorized not-for-profit organization that oversees U.S. broker-dealers.  He is an approved mediator in the EEOC’s external mediation program for employment discrimination cases. He is also an approved mediator in the Cook County Law and Chancery divisions’ mediation programs. Mr. Pipal’s practice is national in scope having conducted mediations in more than 20 states.

Faustin is an approved mediator in the Cook County Law and Chancery divisions Court-Ordered Mediation Programs. He is a member of The National Academy of Distinguished Neutrals.
